What we collect

Only what you type into the contact form on this website:

• Name.
• Work email address.
• Company or project name (optional).
• The capabilities you select and the timing you indicate (optional).
• The message describing what you are building.
• Your explicit consent to be contacted about this request.

What we do not collect

This website sets no cookies, runs no advertising pixels and loads no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. There is no user account, no profiling and no automated decision-making.

The web server keeps standard technical access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) as part of normal server operation and security. When the contact form is submitted, your IP address is used only in hashed form and only to enforce a short anti-abuse rate limit.

Why we use it and on what basis

We use the information you send for one purpose: to read your request and respond to it.

The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the consent box before sending the form. Where the GDPR applies, we may also rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries addressed to us. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to the address below.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept for as long as the conversation is commercially relevant, and no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless a contract between us requires a longer retention period. Technical server logs are rotated on a short cycle as part of normal server maintenance. Rate-limit records are hashed and deleted within hours.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Your message is delivered to a mailbox hosted on infrastructure operated by AMAI Solutions on servers located in Germany, which acts as our hosting provider. That provider processes the data only to run the service.

We disclose information to a public authority only where a valid legal obligation requires it.

International transfers

JLM Software LLC is established in the United States and the website and mailbox are hosted in Germany. If you write to us from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your message is transferred to and stored on that infrastructure and read from the United States. We rely on your consent and on appropriate contractual safeguards with our hosting provider for that transfer.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Ask us to restrict or object to how we use it.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
• Ask us to transmit the information you gave us to another provider, where technically feasible.
• Under the California Consumer Privacy Act: know what is collected, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

How to exercise them

Write to info@jlmsoftware.net from the address you used to contact us, or from an address you can verify. We answer within one month. If we cannot identify you from the request we may ask for information that lets us do so, and we will not use that information for anything else.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you believe we have handled your data badly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS with HSTS enabled. The contact form validates input on the server, applies a rate limit and uses a honeypot field to reject automated submissions. Mailbox access is restricted and password protected. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.

Children

This website is a business site and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new update date. Material changes affecting how we use information already sent to us will be communicated by email where we have one.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without prejudice to mandatory data protection rights you may have under the law of your own country of residence.
